Charismatic politicians and leaders, elected into power by a discontented public eager to choose anyone who will seemingly fulfil their wishes. 2019 saw a UK Prime Minister initially elected by a majority within his own party only. A public desperate to see Brexit carried through at any cost, then promptly gave him a landslide victory in a general election. Promises, promises. But once the veil comes down, how forgiving will his public be.
